Compassionate care for adults with mental health and substance use disorders.

What is an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)?

Positioned between residential inpatient treatment and individual therapy, Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) offer a structured, semi-intensive level of care for the treatment of Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders.

IOPs allow clients to live at home during recovery; and provide a more highly structured program than standard outpatient programs. This allows clients to continue normal daily activities, including family commitments, work or school, as they participate in 9  hours of group therapy each week. This multi-disciplinary treatment approach is highly effective for supporting those with substance use disorders and addictions.

IOP may be the best treatment option for those who qualify AND:

Have completed medical detox and for whom a lower level of care is appropriate

Don’t require around the clock medical or psychiatric supervision

Have work, family, or other responsibilities that require their presence.

Looking for more support than once-per-week therapy sessions.

About SagePoint IOP

SagePoint IOP in Elk Grove offers evidence-based, trauma-informed services for adults (18+) dealing with mental health  and/or substance use disorders. Our skilled clinical team provides discreet, high-quality care in a welcoming environment. The program, meeting 3 times a week for 3 hours, accommodates work and home commitments. With sessions conducted by psychotherapists, it serves as a step-down option from more intensive programs or provides more support than once-per-week therapy sessions. Anticipated stay: 30-90 days.

Before entering our program, you will be given a comprehensive psychological evaluation to determine the appropriate treatment for your clinical needs. For your convenience and to best accommodate your family, work, and life demands, we offer two different program tracks:

AM Intensive Outpatient Program is a 3 hour, 3 days a week program offered Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

PM Intensive Outpatient Program is a 3 hour, 3 days a week treatment, available on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from  5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Many who struggle with addictions and mental health challenges often feel exhausted and uncertain about how to regain control over their lives. At SagePoint IOP, we know that individuals possess reservoirs of strength and resilience that they often do not know exist.
