What is an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)?
Positioned between residential inpatient treatment and individual therapy, Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) offer a structured, semi-intensive level of care for the treatment of Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders.

IOPs allow clients to live at home during recovery; and provide a more highly structured program than standard outpatient programs. This allows clients to continue normal daily activities, including family commitments, work or school, as they participate in 9 hours of group therapy each week. This multi-disciplinary treatment approach is highly effective for supporting those with substance use disorders and addictions.

IOP may be the best treatment option for those who qualify AND:
Have completed medical detox and for whom a lower level of care is appropriate
Don’t require around the clock medical or psychiatric supervision
Have work, family, or other responsibilities that require their presence.
Looking for more support than once-per-week therapy sessions.
