Primary Lead Therapist
Justen Vernon, LCSW
Justen Vernon has provided dedicated support to military personnel, veterans, and their families throughout their mental health journeys. With a father who served as a Green Beret in Vietnam but never received treatment for PTSD, Justen's upbringing deeply sensitized him to the impact of military service on mental well-being and the need for support.
He started by assisting homeless veterans on Skid Row, where he helped them secure housing and employment, gaining invaluable insights into the challenges they face during their transition to civilian life. As a visiting scholar at USC, specializing in veterans with PTSD, he had the privilege of learning from experts and witnessing the profound impact of innovative treatments.
Justen later extended his support to hundreds of active-duty military clients and their families, guiding them as they transitioned out of the armed forces in a virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). These experiences provided him with a profound understanding of the unique challenges encountered by military personnel, veterans, and their families. Through personalized therapy tailored to each client's needs, Justen fosters growth and healing along their path to mental well-being.
